At Quan Su Pagoda – the headquarters of the Vietnam Buddhist Sangha – Prof. Vu Minh Giang expressed his deep reverence for the Buddha and paid tribute to the profound spiritual values embodied by the relics. These sacred relics not only hold great significance for the Buddhist community but also serve as a spiritual beacon for all humanity.
Previously, on the afternoon of May 13, 2025 (the 16th day of the fourth lunar month, Year of the Snake), tens of thousands of Buddhist devotees from across the country gathered at Quan Su Pagoda to witness the arrival of the Buddha’s relics, which were venerated in Vietnam for the first time. This historic event was a major milestone for the monastic and lay Buddhist community, providing an opportunity to spread the Buddhist spirit of compassion, wisdom, and peace to the world. Bathed in the sacred light of the relics, many attendees realized spiritual serenity, faith in the Dharma, and inspiration for their spiritual practice amid the complexities of modern life.
Following their final enshrinement at Quan Su Pagoda on May 16, the relics will be ceremoniously transferred to Tam Chuc Pagoda (Ha Nam Province) on the morning of May 17, where they will continue to be available for public veneration until 12PM on May 20, before being respectfully returned to India.
